Open Meeting - Saturday 9th April 2011

Around 20 players attended the open meeting at which the following decisions were made.

Playing Format - Will be changed slightly. Saturday will be Fours followed by Pairs. Sunday will be Fours followed by Singles. We have swapped the pairs and fours over and added an extra fours session on the sunday.

Captains - North, Malcolm Follis. South, Simon Pridham.

Squad Changes - Captains can make upto 4 changes to the team from one day to the next. The only rule around this is that a player must play in all games for that particular day.

Date & Venue - This will be Saturday/Sunday 18th-19th February. The venue is to be decided but will be in the South. Ideally a venue that all the players can stay close by. The sub committee will be looking at this over the coming months

Committee - The following people were put forward to head up the sub committee. Craig Burgess, Darran Beardmore & Barry Hedges. They will be joined by the captains from both teams. This will allow the competition to run smoothly allowing us to raise a target amount for the chosen charity.

Charity - It was proposed that we keep the charity as Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital on a perminant basis

Money from players - Each player will pay £10. If they already have a shirt the money will go to the charity, if they dont have a shirt then it will pay for their shirt.

Possible Sponsorship - Barry Brindley will ask his work if they will match whatever we can raise. A letter will be sent to the ESMBA to thank them for supporting this seasons event and to ask if they can again help us with next seasons event. We are aiming to raise £500.
