The Short Mat Players Tour would like to thank all the bowlers and their supporters who travelled from across England to take part in the first SMPT Charity Weekend on the 12th and 13th March, at Park Community School in Havant, Hampshire.

Ryan Knight & Stephen Holdsworth have win the John Burgess Pairs 2016 title after beating Craig Burgess & John Pye 8-6 in the final.

Simon Pridham & James Smith have won the Trevor Pay Pairs 2016 after beating Craig Burgess & Phil Mills 13-4 in the final.

The draws for the two events that make up the first Short Mat Players Tour Charity Weekend have now been made.

Entries for the 2016 UK Open are now closed, having reached the 144 player capacity in record time. The popularity of the Short Mat Players Tour is clearly spreading and this growth has lead to the event filling up so quickly.

Entries to the first Short Mat Players Tour event of the 2016-17 season will open on 1 March 2016. Thereafter, the first day of every month, from April until September, will see the opening of entries to at least one more competition.
