Benny Sjogren defends the Power Porsgrunn Norwegian Open!
A great performance again from Benny Sjogren sees him successfully defend his title at this years Power Porsgrunn Norwegian Open after defeating Jonas Hager 12-8 who has to settle for another silver medal.
Jack Pye beat Victor Andersson in the Plate final 10-7 and Karl Hudson wins the Shield after a 14-9 victory over Stephen Gale.
Power Porsgrunn Norwegian Open Show Mat fixtures
We are delighted to confirm the following fixtures to be played on our Show Mat at next Saturday’s opening day of the 2019 Power Porsgrunn Norwegian Open. As well as our usual Facebook Live coverage we’ll be bringing you four matches covered by the professional production company Huldra Film. This includes multi camera action, replays, live commentary and interviews. We’ll be showing four matches on Saturday (see below) and another four on Sunday as we bring you the concluding action from Skien which of course will incorporate the Final. We will, as usual, still bring you live, end by end scores of every show mat game and updates on all matches via our dedicated live feed page on our website.

The draw has now been made for the 2019 Power Porsgrunn Norwegian Open. This year sees our biggest ever event in Norway with 144 players battling it out at the fantastic Skien Fritidspark venue.

Benny Sjogren is Norwegian Open Champion 2018
In a tense game, Sweden’s Benny Sjogren wins the SMPT Norwegian Open 2018. Benny dominated the game from the start however England’s James Trott came back to go in to the final end 8-10 down. Benny bowled a great bowl to take the title 12-8.
Stephen Proctor beat Mitchell Young to win the Plate and Pontus Guldestam wins the Shield Final beating Gunnar Frantzen 10-5.
Norwegian Open 2018: Show Mat Line-up
The draw for the third world ranking event of the 2018-19 season has produced some tough groups and with it, many intriguing matches. What is more, the magnificent hall at Skien Fritidspark provides a superb setting for the SMPT’s Show Mat, allowing players and spectators to witness games of special interest, which feature some of the sport’s top names who are competing at this year’s Norwegian Open.

England’s Stephen Proctor beats Christer Nordin in the final of the 2017 EL-VIS Elektro Norwegian Open to claim his maiden SMPT title and also moves to World #1.
Peter Roberts beats Jonathan Payne to claim the Bronze Medal.
Jorgen Karlsson takes the Plate after defeating Andy Thompson and Bjarne Andersson beats Rune Lifjeld in the Shield.
