It’s a little over 5 weeks until the new SMPT season gets underway! We have a real treat in store for you with 9 international teams pitting their wits against each other in the Bond Bowls World Cup. This one day event will be a high quality shoot-out featuring many of the top players from the 2014-15 Order of Merit, competing to be crowned the very first World Cup Champions. The Bond Bowls World Cup takes place on Friday 21 August and is followed the very next day by the 2015-16 season opener, the Henselite UK Open.

Over the next week we’ll be bringing you all the info on the World Cup including the confirmed team line-ups on Wednesday and of course the eagerly anticipated World Cup draw. As always we will be streaming the draw, but this time from our dedicated World Cup website www.worldshortmatbowls.com.

The draw will be streamed on Friday 17 July at 8pm GMT and will then be available to view on our YouTube channel soon after.
