Joseph Beattie beat Jal Richardson 10-9 in the final of the english Masters at Wey Valley Bowls Club in Guildford. Mark Beattie moved joint top of the rankings with Joel Hager after beating him 20-5 in the bronze medal match. Dimitri Payne of Belgium won the Plate final after a 12-9 win over Darren Witherspoon.

After a successful tournament in Stromstad, Sweden last weekend the Short Mat Players Tour are delighted to announce the first confirmed date for next season. Norway’s Morten-Andre Coll has won the Swedish Masters, beating Victor Andersson 10-8 in the final. Dom Reed wins Bronze Medal match and also becomes new World Number 1 in the process. A full report will follow soon.
